Liu Tao is an actress from Mainland China. Her major productions include the 2003 version of Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils, The Last Concubine, Huan Zhu Ge Ge and Dali Princess alongside popular Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin. Her performance as A Zhu in Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils won her much acclaim from viewers and critics alike.
Born in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China, Liu served in the entertainment division-part of a performance troop in the People’s Liberation Army. TV commercials led Liu into professional acting. Because of her spunk, and her never-give up personality that resembles the typical Shanghainese girl-Xing Zi, Liu was awarded the role of Xing Zi in the popular Cantonese TV series Foreign Wives, Local Guys.
